Emerald Diamond Engagement Ring
Posted by: | CommentsToday I am going to recommend a full package deal – the whole set including the diamond, which will be an Emerald diamond, and the Emerald diamond engagement ring setting.
Emerald Diamond Engagement Ring
The Emerald cut diamond is a beautiful diamond shape that has benefits and has it’s own issues.
To be brief, (for more information see my article on Emerald cut diamonds), the Emerald diamond is usually a bit cheaper than many of the other shapes, especially the Round Brilliant diamond. This fact makes it possible for you to buy a beautiful diamond and save some money, or to buy something perhaps a little bit bigger or with slightly better diamond clarity rating than what you had planned.
The Emerald diamond is not as fiery and brilliant as other diamonds, but it does have broad flashes of light. This happens because of the large and broad open facets on the face of the diamond. These large facets also leave the diamond exposed a bit more to the color levels being more noticeable and to inclusions being more visible.
On the other hand, the broad flashes of light are captivating. The cropped corners and the stepped edges, all make this diamond particularly elegant.
Recommended Emerald Diamond Engagement Ring
Today’s recommended diamond for the Emerald Diamond Engagement Ring is this 1.10 carat Emerald diamond, with G color and VS2 clarity. The diamond is an Ideal cut Emerald diamond, and it sells for $5,520.

This diamond clarity is nice and eye-clean, the inclusions are not easily visible. The diamond color is very nice with the diamond color of G not yet showing any yellowing of the diamond. The shape of the cut is fabulous, with the ratio being 1.38:1.
Emerald Diamond Engagement Ring
The Emerald diamond is best set in a diamond ring setting that is a solitaire, though it also does very well with a minimal number of accent stones such as baguettes. The ideal setting for the Emerald diamond engagement ring is the four-prong setting, as the prongs grip the diamond nicely and still allow maximum visibility for the diamond, keeping it highly accentuated. With the elegance of the Emerald diamond, it is best to get a nice setting, but not too fancy, and to accentuate and focus more on the Emerald diamond itself.
For the Emerald diamond recommended above, I would recommend this setting:
The 18k White Gold Cathedral Reverse Tapered Diamond Engagement Ring. The reverse taper is a simple design that leads the eye to focus on the diamond.
This setting, in white gold or yellow gold, costs $600, and in platinum costs $1175.
To remind you, you can use the James Allen coupon code of ‘RINGSUM’ upon checkout and get a 10% discount on the setting (not including the diamond).
This is my recommendation for today, for a beautiful Emerald diamond engagement ring, including both the emerald diamond and the diamond ring setting, for a total price of $6,120.
